Geri
Jimenez Gould is a native Californian, of Mexican American and
Native American (Tongva Nation, also known as the Gabrielino Band
of Mission Indians) descent, with family roots dating back to
before the Mission period. Born in 1943, the former "Miss
East Los Angeles" majored in Theater and Acting at California
State University at Los Angeles, with Masters work in Fine Arts,
and was employed as a flight attendant. She began painting in
traditional oils at an early age, taking up sculpture, one of
the few artists working today in this difficult genre.|
