Geri Jimenez
Gould creates original bas-relief sculpture for medals, coins
and plaques, one of the few artists today working in this difficult
genre. Her specialty is the portrait, for which she has a unique
ability to capture not only the likeness, but the soul and spirit
of the subject.
Geri has produced
medals for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Loyola-Marymount University,
the American Bar Association, among others. Her works are in the
collections of the Smithsonian Institution, the Vatican Collection,
the Sierra Museum and the Diocese Museum of Los Angeles.
Exhibitions have
included the British Museum, National Sculpture Society, Palace
of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland, the American Numismatic Museum
and many years as a professional member of the Catherine Lorillard
Wolfe Art Club in New York, founded in 1896.
